The full name of Tata Motors Limited (formerly Teleco) is Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company. It is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company. It is under the Tata Group and is headquartered in Mumbai. They make different types of vehicles such as passenger cars, trucks, vans, coaches, buses, sports cars, military cars, etc. Tata Motors was ranked 5th in the Responsible Business Rankings 2017. It entered the commercial automotive sector in 1954 in a joint venture with Daimler Benz of Germany. Tata has dominated the commercial vehicle market for many years. Then in 1991, he started the business of passenger vehicles with a multi-purpose vehicle called Tata Sierra.
Tata Motor Car
Tata Motor Car is a division of Tata Motors that manufactures passenger cars. It is one of the top four passenger vehicles in India. Tata Motors has come out with different models of cars so far. Notable among them are Tata Indigo, Tata Sumo, Tata Nano, Tata Indico, Tata Safari, etc.
1. Tata Indigo
Tata Indigo is a sedan car. This is the Sedan version of Tata Indica. Three more versions were released in 2006 based on Tata Indigo. These are Indigo Marina, Indigoxl, and Indigo CS. Tata Motors has stopped production of Indigo and Indigo Marina since 2009 due to the manufacture of Indigo Mazda. Which is made in the larger Sedan and Tata x1 technology.
2. Tata TL
Tata TL is a pickup track. At present its 4th generation model is running. Its engine is the same as that of the Tata Sierra. It first came to market in 2007 under the name Tata Xenon.
3. Tata Sumo
The Tata Sumo is a versatile car. It first came on the market in 1994. It is one of the earliest cars designed in India. Competitors were modernized to survive the competition in 2004 and renamed Sumo Victa.
4. Tata Nano
Tata Nano is made and sold in India. Although the price is lower in the beginning, the price goes up later. It was targeted at the middle class in India and gained considerable popularity.
5. Tata Indica
Tata Indica is a special mini car. It has been made since 1988. And is the first passenger car of Tata Motor. It is even called the first made passenger car in India.
6. Tata Safari
Tata Safari is an SUV (Sport utility vehicle) made by Tata Motors. It is the first SUV to be designed and manufactured entirely in India.
