Didn’t study far, learned car work
Akash Ahmed, son of Nabi Hossain of Lamapara in Narayanganj. He studied in school till class four. After that, he was a madrasa student till the ninth class. After that, he could not continue his studies. His father Nabi Hossain has an autorickshaw garage/workshop. Akash has grown up playing in this workshop since childhood. The workshop car repair equipment was his toy material. And I had a dream – one day I will make a car myself.
The beginning of the dream of a Lamborghini car
His dream of making Lamborghini started in 2013. In an interview with popular media BBC, Akash Ahmed said that he saw a Lamborghini car in Imran Khan’s song Satisfaia and caught his eye. And from that day on, he decided to make this model car with his own hands one day. He used to leave his studies and learn to work as an autorickshaw mechanic in his father’s garage. And cherished his dream. He added,
“When I saw a new model stylish car on the road, I would get a twist in my chest. I wish I had a car like that! I was afraid to tell my father these things. Because neither I nor my family could afford to buy such an expensive car. So one day I dared to tell my father that I wanted to make a car.”
In 2018, he told his father about his dream. His father also allowed him to build a car. From then on the journey of fulfilling his dream began.
The journey of fulfilling dreams
He started designing Lamborghini cars without any formal education except automobile engineering. To design the car, he used a Lamborghini photo on his garage calendar. Taken. Almost the entire part of the car is designed by him. He made the body of his car by cutting the sheet of steel. In addition to making cars, he has taken help from YouTube tutorials. His main goal is to make Lamborghini for himself at a low cost. He learned to work with a pen in the autorickshaw workshop. So in the combination of his dreams and experiences, the car he has built uses the battery of an easy bike. Made by himself gear, backlight, headlight, suspension. Only batteries, car steering, and wheels were purchased. It took Akash about 14 months to build the car. Recently, during the Eid ul Fitr holiday, he took out the Lamborghini he made for the first time. At first, the locals could not believe he made this car!
Advantages of Akash’s Lamborghini
First of all, the car made by Akash is completely eco-friendly! Since it runs on batteries like an electric car, no black smoke is generated. There is no sound of the engine. As a result, there will be no noise pollution due to this car. Built using fully indigenous technology, the car has a top speed of 45 kmph. Can move fast. In our country, cars usually drive at this speed on urban roads. As a result, the people of the city can use this car effortlessly at a low cost. A total of 5 batteries of Easybike have been used in the car. Which takes 5 hours to fully charge and once charged the car is able to run for 10 hours. He also has a sound system in the car to listen to music.
Obstacles and dreams
Akash had to face many obstacles to make the car. Since he did not have the financial means to invest at once, he built the car in small quantities at the expense of his father’s pocket money. Besides, he had to burn a lot of wood as he did not have any formal knowledge about cars. Many could not believe him at first. Once he made a mistake, he had to start over. But he never stopped meeting the goal. But his family was always with him. When the dream finally came true, then he became the talk of the town!
Seeing Akash’s unimaginable success, Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Rabbi Mia congratulated Akash. Even his wife Akash rode around in Lamborghini in the courtyard. Crowds gathered there that day to see Akash’s car. District administration officials and media personnel were also present.
Prices and future plans
Akash has spent three lakh takas to make a mini Lamborghini sports car. However, he hopes that the price will go down further if permission is given to build cars commercially. He wants to make cars not only for himself but also for the people of the country. He has already received orders for 25 cars but needs permission to make them commercially. So he asked the government for permission to make cars commercially. He doesn’t want to sell his car designs to anyone. Later, in addition to Lamborghini, he also wants to make cars of other brands.
